Dixon Schwabl
Founded in 1987 in Rochester, NY, by former broadcast journalist Lauren Dixon, who sought to create a full-service, multi-dimensional advertising agency. Today, the company offers a variety of advertising and public relations services to a local, regional and national client list that numbers nearly 150.
Two generations of the Dixon-Schwabl family run the agency. Lauren Dixon is CEO and her husband, Mike Schwabl, is president. Their children-daughter Courtney (account manager) and son Jordan (associate production coordinator)-are also active in the firm, as a Mark and Robyn Davis, Lauren Dixon's cousins.
Dixon Schwabl employs approximately 75 people.
The firm supports several charitable agencies in the Greater Rochester area, including Thompson Health and Galisano Children's Hospital. In 2007, the company implemented "Make It Happen Day," a program in which employees can take a paid day off to volunteer for a not-for-profit organization of their choice.
