Eastman Machine Company
Founded in Buffalo in 1888 by Charles Stevenson as a manufacturer of manually operated cutting machines, the company today also makes fully-automated, computerized cutting systems, material handling equipment and design software used in a multitude of industries including aerospace, apparel, composite, marine, recreational, and wind energy.Eastman Machine Company is a fifth generation family business. Today, two generations of the Stevenson family are active in the business: Robert L. Stevenson (president and CEO) and Wade Stevenson (export president) are great-grandchildren of the company founder and R. Trevor Stevenson, a great-great-grandchild, is vice president of technical services.
The company employs approximately 100 people.
The company supports numerous charitable organizations in Western New York, including the United Way, Ride for Roswell, Boys and Girls Club, Kaleida Health, the American Heart Association, and the YMCA.
