Founded in 1939 in Amherst by James Bedard Sr., Buffalo Hotel Supply Co. provides food service equipment and supplies, commercial interior and kitchen design services and furniture and linens to the food service, health care and hospitality industries.
Four generations of the Bedard family have been involved with the company. James Bedard III serves as company president and his three sons worked at the firm in high school and college. His sisters, Susan (executive vice president) and Ginger (vice president), are executives with the firm, which has locations in Amherst, Rochester and Albany.
Buffalo Hotel Supply Co. employs 80 people.
The firm supports several charitable agencies, including the United Way, Catholic Charities, the Lutheran Home of Buffalo, and the American Cancer Society. Eastman Machine Company is actively involved in philanthropic efforts in the Buffalo area, supporting, among other organizations, The United Way, the American Heart Association, Albright Knox Art Gallery, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
