Savoia Pastry Shoppe was founded in 1929 in Rochester by Sicilian immigrants Michael and Teresa Petrantoni. Despite opening just before the great depression, the company survived and has flourished over the years.
Savoia Pastry Shoppe is a third generation family business, with two generations currently involved in the business.
Savoia Pastry Shoppe employs 13 full-time and 12 part-time workers.
The company contributes to charitable organizations in the Rochester area, including ASAP and the Column of Hope, Mt. Carmel Church, an inner-city parish, and St. Martin's Soup Kitchen.
