AP Wagner, Inc.
APWagner was founded as The Buffalo Washing Machine Repair Company in
1928 by Frank and Clara Jarmusz. The company, then located in Buffalo, was an appliance repair business. Now run by a third generation of the Jarmusz family, AP Wagner has grown to become one of the largest appliance parts distributors in the country.
Significant changes have accompanied the firm's growth over the years. By 1930, the company supplied appliance dealers throughout New York State with wholesale price lists on parts and in 1938 was selling new appliances and replacement parts.
In 1952, Frank and Clara's sons, Frank L. Jarmusz Jr. and Leonard Jarmusz, joined the company and expanded the size and scope of the firm's laundry parts inventory. In 1967, the firm shifted its focus from selling and repairing appliance parts to distributing them.
Over the next two decades, the company made numerous acquisitions, which led to the opening of several branch locations. In 1995, Donald and Michael Jarmusz, grandsons of the company’s founders, purchased the business from their parents. That year, AP Wagner was formed by the merger of Appliance Parts Distributors and Wagner Appliance Parts. Donald serves as company president, while Michael is chief
executive officer.
The merger made AP Wagner the largest appliance parts distributor in the Northeast. Today, the company is headquartered in Depew and employs more than 200 people at its Depew headquarters and at 14 branch locations. AP Wagner has enjoyed a steady record of growth as the second-largest appliance parts distributor in the U.S. and Canada.
AP Wagner strives to be a solid corporate citizen. The company's fifteen locations contribute to several local and national charities in the U.S. and Canada. Over the last several years the Depew headquarters has also administered company wide donation drives to support our troops serving in Iraq and the Holiday Toys for Tots program sponsored by Haven House.
